stainless steel kinetic outdoor sculpture
Tom Brewitz prepares
drawings for clients then installs finished
sculpture in position at their home or office.
But, before work begins on commissioned
sculpture, Brewitz submits architectural drawings
for client approval. The evolution of designing
sculpture for installation has brought about the
technique of inserting drawings into site photos.
Clients can finally gain
full understanding of how the finished piece will
work within the propose site and develop insight
into how the sculpture will interact with the
environment. Keep in mind that the top two photos
don't actually have the real sculpture! These are
shaded renderings placed into a scan of the
client's estate. Actual size of the color glossy
are 11" x 8.5".
As his client reviews a
printed version of the drawing and photo we can
also view these plans live via the internet. This
approach allows viewing seamless sculpture
drawings blended with photos. But, be careful
because it is easy to get confused to what are
real images and what are drawings!
Below the photos of the
clients home with the drawing superimposed are
photos of the actual sculpture that was created
as a result of approval and feedback.
The sculpture stands first
as a stainless steel work before the colors are
applied. The last photo is with the final
lamination.
Motion continuous.
